Letter #3 from David & HyeRan Kim-Cragg       November 23, 2005

Dear Friends in Canada,

Today is "SoSul" (small snow) day, indicating the beginning of winter in Korea. The air is surely getting cool and chilly at night. Friends often say, "you must be enjoying this cold weather since you are from Canada!"  Indeed, this weather reminds us of Canada and makes us think of you all.

Hannah turned 2 years old last week (Nov 16th). It seems that this special moment will not pass without some mis/adventures. Two days before her birthday she came down with a bug. Then, the day before her birthday party, she got two bruises on her face. In Korea, people say, babies grow wise as they get sick. We are sure that she has become much wiser this past week.

Noah is still enjoying his school. His least favorite thing to do is to come home from school. His favourite thing to do, on the other hand, is to go his friends' house and play there. It makes us, as parents, wonder what we have done wrong at home. At the same time, we are very happy to see how sociable and independent he has become, getting along with his friends without clinging to his mom and dad.

HyeRan passed her thesis defense on Nov 4th and is Dr. Kim-Cragg!! Many (including her families, friends and professors) supported her in this exciting event. She spent 3 days in Canada but in order to do that had to spend a total of 3 days on different planes and in several airports.

David enjoys the challenge of teaching English to young children at KangNam church, though it is quite tiring. His work at the University is getting more interesting as he is getting to know students and their personal lives.

As HyeRan and David get more involved in life on campus exciting possibilities for future service have come into view.  We hope that we will have more to tell about these dreams that seem to be surfacing in our work.

Again, God has blessed the Kim-Cragg family with so many wonderful things-- things to celebrate and things to be ever thankful for.

Wel look forward to writing next month's letter as we are getting ready for ADVENT.

Peace on you all,

The Kim-Craggs from Korea
