Accessibility and the Church
A 2 page document explaining the Accessibility for
Ontarians with Disabilities Act which was passed into law in 2005.
The first of these standards, Customer Service, has been passed with
a compliance deadline of January 1, 2012, for service providers.
The document explains briefly what this has to do
with the Church and has several links to resources.
The 25 page document in PDF (printable) outlines
the Church Accessibility standards for Congregations.
These notes provide a time line for
completing the congregation policy to be compliant by January 1,
2012
